Feedback and the winner of the case studies

Hello from the rainy Finland,

It´s again Tuesday and I am working online from my home and spending time with my puppy. Happy me! Finally I have also some time to write here something about your case studies.

Thanks again from your work. If it was not easy for me to think suitable case studies for you, I am sure it was not also very easy for you to make them. But all team succeeded so well so that it was a pleasure for us to listen to you. It seems that you have learned something valuable about multi-cultural team work during this project. Good for you.

The evaluation criteria for the case studies were:
- innovative way of thinking the solution
- bringing up fact and information about cultural sensitiveness and multi-cultural working environments
- presentation skills.

Some comments to all groups:

1. Multicultural working environment: very nice and professional video which certainly presents ideal working place. Nice presentation of all team members. I missed a bit your own comments for this work.

2. Marketing the super team: your presentation was quite conventional, but you obviously know a great deal about cultural sensitivity and team work, you challenged yourself to make a presentation even though one person was missing- good for you. Next time be a bit more innovative and use eg. video as many use today when they are applying a job.

3. The flash mob: a great presentation from you all, we all liked the way how you made a short lesson with steps how to organise a flash mob using links to a real life case. Innovative and inspiring presentation. I was only missing the actual flash mob, but I hope we will get it in May!

4. Building bridges of understanding: you had found some nice ways to promote cultural understanding in the working life. They were maybe not that innovative, but certainly useful. Nice presentation from you all.

5. Multi-cultural business culture: You are all very good speakers and prepared a nice slide show to support your presentation. You had found a lot of relevant information about different countries. I was missing some kind of a summary to the topic. Your however answered very well to our tricky questions. A serious topic and maybe a bit more difficult to be entertaining.

All in all, this time the jury voted for the best case study the flash mob. And as we agreed, we all hope that this idea goes further and you will help to organise a real flash mob during our last mobility on May combining all our schools and even others. Looking forward to take part in this.

It was really nice to meet you all here in Porvoo. Fruitful team works for you all during the winter.

Now I am heading out to the rainy forest (not rainforest) with my puppy Vili.

See you all soon!

Best regards, Sanna
